About the Builder

After graduating from Occidental College in 2000, Steve Bowman decided to return to Connecticut and work for the plumbing and heating business his grandfather started over 50 years ago.  As a plumber, he worked closely with many of Cheshire’s finest builders.  By working with these companies on large projects and new developments, Steve became very interested in learning more about the home building business. In 2005, while still working as a plumber, he successfully built his first home in Glastonbury.  Finally, in 2009, Steve made the decision to fully commit to building and remodeling homes, leaving the family plumbing and heating company and starting his own, Cornerstone Developers.  As a second generation builder, and with his personal experience as a plumbing subcontractor, he has developed the collaborative, relationship building skills necessary to effectively work with the numerous subcontractors. Steve works with his team to ensure that the projects run smoothly and in a timely manner.
